Adam Turer checks out the Corned Beef and Egg Salad

One of my favorite things about Izzy’s is all the various combinations of meats, cheeses, sauces, toppings, and breads.  The variety and creativity makes every trip to Izzy’s a new experience.  Rarely do I settle for a two-ingredient sandwich. Hiding near the bottom of the menu is a simple but creative creation: corned beef and egg salad on rye toast. I tried this at the Anderson location and learned that it was a customer suggestion that put this item on the menu. I went with a side of pasta salad in lieu of the famous potato pancake.  The boy was happy with his kids grilled cheese with the very popular mini-cakes. I was surprised at how well the egg salad complemented the corned beef and the rye is quickly becoming my favorite bread at Izzy’s.  I hope you come up with your own Izzy’s creation and maybe someday it will be added to the menu.
