Elm Street location and Turkey Reuben Salad

From the heart of downtown Cincinnati, the Izzy’s on Elm Street always seemed off the beaten path. However, I learned that it is a less than 10-minute walk from Fountain Square. I also learned that it is worth the walk. Elm Street has a recently-renovated patio which is great for outdoor dining. Even though it was 97 degrees the day I went there, I sat outside and enjoyed the shade and an occasional breeze. I planned on eating outside anyway, but I did not have much choice as the tables inside were already filled with loyal Izzy’s customers. The service was top-notch and the Turkey Reuben Salad was delicious. It was the most filling salad I have ever eaten and was loaded with all of my Turkey Reuben favorites, including the sweet and sour coleslaw. Is there a better beverage while eating outside than a refreshing sweet tea? I don’t think there is. If you want to enjoy your Izzy’s favorites while dining al fresco, make the short trek to the Elm Street location near City Hall.

You know Adam Turer from his attempt to take down Izzy’s 110 Reuben on Travel Channel’s Man V Food Nation.  Join us as Izzy’s challenges Adam to eat his way through Izzy’s menu in one year.  Adam will share his thoughts as he tries each and every Izzy menu item, while journeying to all local locations throughout the year. Got a specific twist or combination you want him to try?  Leave us a comment on our Facebook page or our twitter account and we will have him try it for you.  As we gave our challenge to Adam, we only had two words: COME HUNGRY!
