Have you tried the Jeff Ruby?

Cincinnati’s most famous restaurateur knows a good meal when he sees one. On the recommendation of his friend Andy Furman (whose name also appears on the Izzy’s menu), Ruby created his own signature sandwich for his favorite Cincinnati deli. Like Mr. Ruby, this sandwich is larger than life. It’s really two sandwiches combined into one. The first sandwich is a delicious coleslaw and roast beef. The upper deck of this double decker is turkey, chopped liver spread, and Izzy’s famous dressing. Each layer would be more than enough on its own, but they combine like Voltron to form one of the most complex and tasty creations on the Izzy’s menu. It’s no Steak Collinsworth, but the JeffRuby at Izzy’s unlocks so much potential for other sandwich possibilities. I had not thought of chopped liver or coleslaw as a deli meat topping before, but I know I’ll try them again soon. This sandwich, like its creator, is one of a kind.

You know Adam Turer from his attempt to take down Izzy’s 110 Reuben on Travel Channel’s Man V Food Nation.  Join us as Izzy’s challenges Adam to eat  his way through Izzy’s menu in one year.  Adam will share his thoughts as he tries each and every Izzy menu item, while journeying to all local locations throughout the year. Got a specific twist or combination you want him to try?  Leave us a comment on our Facebook page or our twitter account and we will have him try it for you.  As we gave our challenge to Adam, we only had two words: COME HUNGRY!
