Ft. Wright Izzy's

Ft. Wright Izzy's

On January 20th, our Ft. Wright location had its last day of operation.  After being approached by Guthrie’s Chicken, we have come to an agreement to sell our property and building to them.  We’d like to take a moment to thank our loyal customers of our Ft. Wright location for allowing us to serve you over the past 5 ½ years.

Patrons of the Fort Wright location can still enjoy Izzy’s at one of our eight area locations – Florence (KY), Downtown on Elm, Downtown on Main, Anderson, Forest Park, Red Bank, West Chester, and Western Hills and of course Izzy’s is also available by delivery through UberEats.

We are beyond grateful to the residents of Fort Wright and the surrounding communities for their support and patronage over the course of the past 5 ½ years. We have enjoyed serving you and hope you will continue to dine with us at our Mall Road location, or any of our seven other area locations.

We look forward to seeing you soon,

Sincerely,

John Geisen, President

  • “Longtime fans "love" this landmark Cincinnati deli with locations throughout the city serving "hearty", "overstuffed" sandwiches (particularly the "terrific" Reuben) along with "famous" pickles and "second-to-none" potato pancakes; although the decor reminds some of a grade-school lunchroom, it's affordable and the staff is "a hoot."

  • “Love this location!  My fiance does too.  Told staff was our first time and she was patient and helpful with menu suggestions and questions.  We have already been back. Tommy, Andy, Reuben all amazing. And the potato pancake is terrific!  Thanks so much for being awesome, when we were having a bad day! ”

  • “Had some quests from Columbus area and Andrian, MI and wanted to take them to a "local" restaurant. My grandson and I decided Izzy's in Forest Park was the choice. They LOVED it. First the delicious pickles and then the famous Ruben and potato pancake. The waitress was great, very friendly and we enjoyed her conversation with our questions. They were very impressed with the food and her. I wish I knew her name but she was the only waitress there. Then even bought a jar of pickles to take home.”

  • “I first started going to Izzys over 40 years ago. I remember Izzy working behind the counter across the street from WLWT. The food I had tonight was as good as when Izzy would hand me my sandwich in the 70s! ”

  • “Love Izzy's Reuben's and Potato Cakes. This is the closest to my house. I live in Goshen but it's worth the drive. Had to make a special trip there for St. Paddy's Day. Great customer service. And great food. They have the best Potato Cakes in town.”

  • “Love our Ft. Wright Izzys! Friendly people, great food always.”

  • “Izzy's is a great place. a staple of downtown Cincy. They are known for their Ruben. However I recommend the Izzy's Mex (spicier Ruben) or "The Suzzy" which is turkey and cranberry-orange relish with cream cheese... it's better than it sounds.”
